Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month - February 26

Each year, 1,900 Australian women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and tragically, more than 70% of cases are detected at an advanced stage, making treatment difficult and survival rates devastatingly low.

Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month (OCAM), held every February, is a critical time to shine a spotlight, amplify awareness, and drive the change needed to improve outcomes for women impacted by this disease.

What You Can Do This OCAM

We need your voice, your support, and your action to make a difference this February. Here’s how you can help:

  • Educate Yourself: Learn the symptoms, risks, and facts about ovarian cancer. Knowledge is power.
  • Share Information: Spread the facts and statistics to your networks via social media, emails, or community boards. Awareness leads to action.
  • Wear Teal: Purchase a teal ribbon and wear it proudly throughout February to start life-saving conversations.
  • Donate: Contribute to Ovarian Cancer Australias' Giving Day on February 18th or throughout OCAM to help fund vital research and support services.
  • Share Your Story: If you or someone you know has been impacted by ovarian cancer, sharing your experience can inspire and educate others.

Turning February Teal

This February, Ovarian Cancer Australia (OCA) is asking Australians to wear teal ribbons to show their support for women impacted by ovarian cancer.

Wearing a teal ribbon isn’t just symbolic, it’s a conversation starter. Every conversation increases awareness, inspires action, and helps raise funds for vital research, education, and support services.

Get your ribbon today through the OCA website or at participating Terry White Chemmart locations.
