Proximel® is a five-layer silicone foam bordered adhesive dressing that is gentle on patients' skin, reducing irritation and pain during changes without stripping epidermal cells.
The dressing can be lifted or repositioned without adherence failure, assisting in wound management.
The dressing core supports fast absorption and helps minimise maceration risk, providing excellent wound management.
Additionally, it offers high breathability to support good moisture balance and is waterproof, bacteria-proof, and air-permeable.
PROXIMEL® Silicone Foam Dressing is indicated for a wide range of wounds, such as:
- Pressure ulcers
- Leg and foot ulcers
- Traumatic wounds
- Surgical wounds
- Donor sites
- Skin tears
- Burns (1st and 2nd degree)
- Dry/necrotic wounds (in combination with gels)
