It is made from polyglycolic acid with a polycaprolactone and calcium stearate coating, offering smooth passage through tissue and a hydrolytic absorption profile, with approximately 50% tensile strength retained at 18–21 days and full absorption typically within 60 to 90 days. This 3/0 gauge suture features a reverse cutting 3/8 circle DS-24 needle, a 75cm length, and violet colouring for visibility in theatre. Each hermetically sealed box contains 12 sutures.
