Matrix® has an effective formula that has demonstrated the removal of conventional biological soils and bacterial biofilms on medical devices. It is specifically designed for use in endoscopy, central sterilising departments and dental practices.
In any effective instrument reprocessing system, the cleaning of medical devices is the first critical step. Bacterial biofilms containing bacteria and other micro-organisms are more difficult to remove than conventional biological soils, and disease-causing organisms can transfer between medical devices when improperly cleaned and protected within a biofilm.
Matrix® breaks the surface adhesion of the biofilm, dissolving underlying complex carbohydrates such as Exo Poly Substance (EPS) and impacting viable bacteria within the biofilm.
