3M™ Fit Test Solution FT-32 is a Bitter solution (Bitrex) used to trial the respirator wearer to a bitter solution. The 3M™ Fit Test Solution FT-32 Bitter is used alongside the 3M™ Qualitative Fit Test Apparatus Kit FT-30 Bitter. The 3M™ Fit Test Solution is used to fit test 3M™ Disposable, and Reusable Half Face respirators and is a replacement part for 3M™ Qualitative Fit Test Apparatus Kit FT-30 Bitter. This product is for occupational use only.
Offering two solution types for the Qualitative Fit Test Apparatus Kits, 3M™ provides FT-10 (Sweet) and FT-30 (Bitter) for personal choice. FT-10 uses a test solution of sodium saccharin to produce a sweet tasting aerosol. FT-30 uses a test solution of denatonium benzoate with a bitter taste. Both solution types are for personal preference. However, a small percentage of the trialled population cannot detect saccharin, so the bitter solution test must be used.
Test kits and accessories are produced and designed to meet the AS/NZS 1715:2009 mandatory fit testing of respirators for compliance. This product can be used to check the face-to-respirator seal on any particulate respirator or gas/vapour respirator with a particulate pre-filter.
